    Description

    TWO 1/6 PLATE DAGUERREOTYPES OF SAME YOUNG WOMAN, ONE ALONE, OTHER WITH TWO KIDS.
    These two 1/6 plate daguerreotype images are of the same woman, I believe taken about four or five years apart. She is alone in the first image, with longer hair. In the second image, she is with two young children (probably her own). She is wearing the same hoop earrings in both. The image of the woman alone has old paper seals, possibly original; the focus and contrast are good, and there are no wipe marks. There are two "blotches" to the background (see annotated picture in listing). The dag of the woman and two children has been resealed, and it also has no wipe marks. Both have half cases.
